Advanced Domain Settings consists of several sub-screens that control the most basic operations of your domain. These include:
Manage Name Servers
Change your name servers or reset them to Domain Direct's default name servers.
Edit Zone File
Edit the A records, CNAME records and MX records for your domain, or reset them to Domain Direct's default zone record.
WhoIs Contact Information
Keep your Owner, Administrative, Technical and Billing contact information up-to-date.
Nexus Information
.us owners can update their Nexus Information here.
This section is available only to .us domain owners.
Request CIRA Password
.ca owners use the CIRA Password to confirm critical changes (such as Administrative Contact and Owner Contact) with CIRA (Canadian Internet Registration Authority). Forgotten passwords can be retreived here.
This section is available only to .ca domain owners.
Manage Domain Trademark
.ca owners who own a trademark for their domain name, or whose domain name contains a registered trademark, can update this information with CIRA here.
This section is available only to .ca domain owners.
Transfer Lock
Lock or unlock your domain. When your domain is locked, it can't be transferred; this prevents accidental and/or unintentional transfers of your domain. .org, .biz, .info and .us domain owners can also find their Transfer Authorization Code here.
This section is not available to .ca domain owners.
Most Domain Direct customers will never need to use these settings, but they are available if needed, and for the more advanced user. Please be careful if you use these settings, as they can disable your domain!
